What You Can Expect

What Should You Expect On Your First Visit With Us?

Our evaluation procedures are geared toward detection of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex (misaligned vertebra with nerve pressure). The procedures we use are therefore specifically selected to evaluate the health of your spine and nervous system.

After a consultation and health history we will perform a spine and nervous system assessment. This will include palpation (using our hands to feel your spine and related structures), muscle tests (comparing the strength and response of muscles from side to side), motion (observing and measuring the ease and range of motion of the body), postural assessment (both visually and through computerized evaluation), and a Paraspinal Thermal Imaging scan. The scan uses thermal couples and computer software to detect areas of spinal nerve pressure and interference. For more information about Paraspinal Thermal Imaging, click here.

Depending on a person’s history, age, and findings, we may perform spinal x-rays. These allow us to see the overall alignment of the spine and to what degree of severity your spine and nervous system have been affected.

All of these procedures allow us to determine the most appropriate approach and technique to help you. These evaluative procedures also provide a baseline for the future so we can accurately measure your progress to see how your spine is correcting and your nervous system is functioning, thereby improving your overall health.

After complete evaluation and analysis, we will provide you with a report of findings. This report will provide you with information on how the subluxation process has affected your own health, thereby allowing you to make an informed choice on the type of care that suits your needs.

Most people at Mulcahy Family Chiropractic opt to engage in corrective care, some choose to care only for a specific problem or health concern. We are here to support you to receive the type of care that you desire for yourself and/or your family.
